The stylish Withings BPM Connect upper arm blood pressure monitor is a very good and handy blood pressure monitor from the Withings brand. A major advantage of the BPM Connect is that it has no cables and/or hoses. Everything is incorporated into the device. Other advantages are that it can automatically make a triple measurement, checks for an irregular heartbeat and can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth and WiFi.
The BPM Connect is a clinically validated blood pressure monitor. The blood pressure monitor complies with the strict ESH 2010 and AAMI protocols. You can assume that the measurements are reliable when used correctly. The Heart Foundation recommends using a blood pressure monitor that has been clinically validated.
The blood pressure monitor has 1 personal profile with 8 memory locations. This may not seem like much, but because the blood pressure monitor is almost always in contact with your smartphone and synchronizes automatically, this is sufficient. In the Withings Health Mate app you then have an unlimited amount of memory spaces available. In the app you can easily read all measurements and analyze them extensively. The app also offers the option to forward data to, for example, your doctor.
The Withings BPM Connect can also perform a 3-way measurement. The average of 3 measurements in a row gives a more accurate picture of the blood pressure than 1 single measurement. In addition, it is also possible to calculate the average of the last 7 measurements. Other features include a WHO LED indicator, which uses an LED color light to indicate whether blood pressure is normal or elevated, and an irregular heartbeat detector.
The blood pressure monitor is equipped with a battery, which can easily be charged using the supplied USB cable. In addition, the BPM Connect has an integrated, pre-formed cuff. A preformed cuff is very easy to put on and is comfortable. The cuff is suitable for upper arms in size medium and large. This corresponds to an upper arm circumference between 22 and 42 centimeters.
