Omron X4 Smart blood pressure monitor

The Omron X4 Smart is a new model of blood pressure monitor from Omron. The model was introduced in November 2019 and falls between the Omron X3 Comfort and the Omron X7 Smart in. The X4 Smart is an easy-to-use upper arm blood pressure monitor with Bluetooth connectivity. This makes it easy to read the measurement results into the Omron Connect app on your smartphone. The large display clearly shows the measurement results. In addition, simple symbols indicate whether the measurement has been taken correctly, the cuff is correctly attached and whether an irregular heartbeat has been detected. Due to the simple one-button operation, an accurate measurement can be performed quickly and easily.

The blood pressure monitor has been clinically validated in accordance with the ESH2010 protocol. Because the Omron X4 Smart complies with this strict protocol, you can be sure that the measurements are accurate. The Heart Foundation recommends that you always measure with a clinically validated blood pressure monitor.

Bluetooth

The Omron X4 Smart upper arm blood pressure monitor offers the possibility to connect the blood pressure monitor to the smartphone. You can install the Omron Connect app on the smartphone. In the Omron Connect app you have a complete picture of the measured values. You can also view and export the measured values ​​graphically. The export of the data is particularly useful so that you can easily share it with your doctor.

Features

The Omron X4 Smart upper arm blood pressure monitor can be used by 2 people. There is room for 2 personal profiles. The large button at the bottom left allows you to switch between the profiles. Each profile has 60 memory spaces available. With two measurements per day you have room for 30 days.

On the Omron X4 Smart you will find a heart rate monitor for displaying the heart rate. If an irregular heartbeat is measured, this will be displayed on the screen. The same goes for the motion sensor and cuff wrapping guide. If there is movement during measurement, this is displayed. When measuring, a symbol will illuminate when the cuff is properly attached.

Finally, the Omron X4 Smart upper arm blood pressure monitor can calculate the average of the last 3 measurements. Although this must be done manually, it is recommended. With an average blood pressure you know more accurately what the correct blood pressure is. To use the average, 10 measurements must be taken within 3 minutes of each other.

Intelli wrap cuff

The Omron X4 Smart comes with the Omron Intelli wrap cuff. This cuff (HEM-FL31) measures very accurately because it measures 360 degrees around the upper arm. In addition, the cuff feels comfortable. It is easy to install without the help of others. The arm can be slid into the tube. The cuff is suitable for most people with upper arms that are between 22 and 42 centimeters in circumference. A smaller size (<22 centimeters) or larger (> 42 centimeters) size is not available.

If you need a smaller size cuff, we recommend that you look at the Omron M3 blood pressure monitor model 2020. Although this model does not have Bluetooth connectivity, it does offer the option to connect a flexible (children's) cuff. This cuff is suitable for an upper arm circumference of > 17 centimeters.

The Omron X4 Smart uses the patented Omron Intellisense ™ technology. As a result, the cuff is inflated in a special way so that it feels pleasant. In addition, it inflates the cuff correctly and precisely so that it is not too hard. The measurements are accurate due to Omron Intellisense ™ technology.

The Omron X4 Smart is also available in the M series. That is the Omron M4 Intelli IT blood pressure monitor. The X4 Smart and the M4 Intelli IT are exactly the same blood pressure monitors. The only difference between the monitors is the color of the front. The X4 Smart has a silver front. The Omron M4 Intelli IT has a black front.
