The Microlife BP B6 Connect AFib blood pressure monitor is the top model upper arm blood pressure monitor from the Swiss brand Microlife. It is the successor to the successful BP A6 BT blood pressure monitor. The blood pressure monitor is very user-friendly and contains a wide range of technological innovations such as MAM technology, PAD technology and Gentle+ technology. The large display is clear and easy to use. It clearly shows the measurement results. The symbols of the various technological developments are shown on the left side of the screen, if necessary.
The Microlife BP B6 Connect has the option to be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth. Via the Microlife Connected Health app you have extensive options for analyzing blood pressure. The blood pressure monitor can also be connected to a PC or MAC via a USB cable to use the Microlife BP Analyzer software.
The blood pressure monitor is clinically validated according to the AAMI, BHS and ESH2002 protocols. The blood pressure monitor has been validated not only for the general population, but also for pregnant women with or without preeclampsia, children over 12 years old, patients with diabetes, kidney disease and obesity. It is recommended to always measure with a clinically validated blood pressure monitor.
The Microlife BP B6 BT Connect AFib has 2 user profiles. Each user profile has the option to store 99 measurements. A morning and evening average over the last 28 days can easily be calculated from the memory. In addition, there is a guest mode so that an incidental measurement can take place that does not need to be saved.
The most important technological developments that the blood pressure monitor has is AFib detection. This detection makes it possible to detect atrial fibrillation at an earlier stage. Detecting atrial fibrillation early can reduce the risk of a stroke.
The AFib detection takes place as soon as you use the 3-fold measurement. You can switch on the 3-fold measurement on the side of the blood pressure monitor. The blood pressure monitor then uses the Microlife MAM technology. With this technology, an accurate blood pressure measurement takes place within 3 minutes. The blood pressure monitor will automatically take 3 measurements in succession. There is a 15 second rest between each measurement. If it turns out that 1 of the 3 measurements has failed or is a value that is not reliable, the blood pressure monitor will automatically display a 4de perform measurement. The advantage of this is that you always have a very accurate measurement.
In addition, the blood pressure monitor is provided with Microlife PAD technology. Thanks to this Pulse Arrythmia detection technology, an irregular heartbeat can be detected during a blood pressure measurement. This will be shown at the end of the measurement with a symbol on the screen.
The cuff is inflated with the Microlife Gentle+ technology. This technology ensures that the cuff is inflated exactly for what is needed. During the blood pressure measurement, the blood pressure monitor will calculate whether the cuff should be inflated more or less. The cuff therefore feels very comfortable.
Microlife BP B6 Connect is also equipped with a 'Cuff check indicator'. This indicates whether the cuff is correctly attached. In addition, there is an 'Arm movement indicator' that shows whether the arm was moved during the blood pressure measurement.
The supplied cuff is a preformed cuff. This has the size medium / large. This is for an upper arm circumference of 22 to 42 centimeters. Optionally, it is possible to purchase a (children's) cuff (> 17 centimeters upper arm circumference) or extra large cuff (<52 centimeters upper arm circumference). A cuff holder is supplied with the blood pressure monitor. You can click this onto the blood pressure monitor so that you can neatly store the cuff.
The Microlife BP B6 Connect has the ability to connect with special software. This allows you to easily analyze the blood pressure and share it with third parties such as the (general) doctor. The Microlife BP Analyzer software (English software only) can be downloaded to your PC or MAC. You can then connect using the supplied USB cable. The blood pressure monitor can also connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth. On the smartphone you can view the blood pressure values with the Microlife Connected Health app. You can easily download the app from the Google Playstore or Apple App store.
The blood pressure monitor uses batteries. You can use both standard AA and rechargeable batteries. It must be alkaline batteries. With new AA batteries, the blood pressure monitor can measure approximately 920 times. An adapter is optional but not necessary.
