Braun ThermoScan PRO 6000 professional ear thermometer

The ThermoScan PRO 6000 is a highly accurate professional ear thermometer, which Braun has launched in collaboration with Welch Allyn. This excellent thermometer works quickly and easily and uses different techniques such as PerfectTemp®, ExacTemp® and a pre-warmed tip to get the most accurate measurement result.

The thermometer is very easy to use. The measurement is performed at the touch of a button and you have the measurement result in just a few seconds. The results are displayed on the backlit screen with an accuracy of one decimal. The backlit screen also makes it extra easy to test a sleeping patient at night, without having to wake them up.

The Braun ThermoScan PRO 6000 uses multiple technologies to get the most accurate reading possible. One of these technologies is the PerfectTemp® -sensor system. When the ear thermometer is inserted into the ear canal, sensors determine where the probe is located and in which direction it is pointing. This information is taken into account when calculating the temperature. Taking into account information about a patient's specific anatomy and the exact position of the probe in the ear canal makes the measurement more accurate, especially if the probe placement is not or cannot be optimal.

Another technology used is the ExactTemp® -technology. This checks whether the probe remains in the same place during the measurement. The ExacTemp LED flashes during the measurement and remains lit when the measurement is complete, indicating that the probe stayed in the same position during the measurement. If the thermometer is not held still, the device will beep, the ExacTemp light will blink, and the letters POS (Position Error) will blink on the display. Then repeat the measurement and make sure that the device and the patient do not move. Keeping the probe in a stable position during measurement makes the measurement result more accurate.

In addition to these technologies, the thermometer also has a preheated tip. This not only contributes to a more accurate measurement, but also ensures patient comfort during the measurement. The Braun ThermoScan PRO 6000 also has a memory function for the last measurement. This way you can easily see the temperature of the previous measurement, before you start with the new measurement.
