The Braun ThermoScan 6 IRT6515 ear thermometer is an excellent thermometer. The thermometer has a preheated tip, which additionally increases the measurement accuracy and comfort. In addition, the ExacTemp® assist system confirms, by means of a light and sound signal, that the tip is in the correct position and that an accurate measurement has been taken. The accuracy of this thermometer is clinically proven.
The Braun ThermoScan 6 ear thermometer works after a measurement time of just 2 seconds. The infrared energy emitted by the middle ear and the surrounding tissue is measured, collected by suitable lenses and converted into temperature values. The results are shown on the backlit display with an accuracy of one decimal. The color codes, which become visible on the display after the measurement, show you at a glance whether the temperature is normal (green), indicates a fever (yellow) or high fever (red).
The thermometer screen will light up when the result is known. This makes it extra easy to test a sleeping patient at night, without having to wake them up. The optional silent mode also adds to this convenience.
